Signs and Wonders
Then Jesus said to him, "Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe." (John 4:48)
*This means that God performs miracles because God is GOOD and to strengthen the faith of those who already believe and help non-believers to believe.
We see in Acts 2:21-24 that the apostle Peter said:
'And it shall come to pass, That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.'
"Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it."
Jesus stated: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." (John 14:12)
"...and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles." (Acts 2:43)
What Signs and Wonders did Jesus and his disciples perform?
1) Casting demons out of people (aka Deliverance)
2) Healing miracles
There are many examples throughout the New Testament of healing and the casting out of demons by both Jesus and his disciples/apostles
3) Raising people from the dead (including Jesus being raised 3 days after his crucifixion)
